Maine General Medical Center

MaineGeneral Medical Center (Rick Albert – Director of Engineering) had determined the need for additional parking to best serve the hospital’s patient volume. This type of project lies fully within the capabilities and experiences of SJR Engineering. For this project, street parking along Arsenal Street was removed by the City of Augusta for access and safety reasons. This resulted in additional demand for parking at the facility within the existing lots. In 2001, MaineGeneral Medical Center constructed a satellite parking facility (SJR Engineering design) at the former Augusta Lumber Company site. SJR Engineering expanded the original design by adding 70 more parking stalls.
