The State of Maine Department of Conservation (John Picher- Director of Engineering) retained SJR Engineering to provide engineering services related to the construction of a “Group Shelter Building” and expansion of the existing parking facilities at the Lake St. George State Park complex.  The building is a covered shelter with open sides and is anchored to a concrete slab on grade floor. It offers potable water, a small septic disposal system and underground electricity. Site amenities include a paved parking lot, handicap accessibility along a new 5’ wide paved sidewalk, new picnic tables, and a sand filled 55’ by 102’ long playground area.
